Abstract: Kinky weft is an important factor influencing the weaving efficiency of an air-jet loom. The paper probes into the factors that cause kinky weft, which, according to the authors, are yarn quality, blocked up weft insertion, improper setting of weft-insertion device, irrational process parameters of weft insertion, etc. It also introduces the effective way for reducing kinky weft and improving weaving efficiency.
