Reducing weft stoppage is an important way for improving the efficiency of air-jet loom. The factors that cause weft stop, such as broken weft, blocked up weft insertion, improper adjustment of weft insertion system and irrational setting of weft-insertion parameters are discussed from angles of yarn quality and production process. Solutions for reducing weft stoppage and improving air-jet loom efficiency are given in the paper.
