This article summarized the status-quo and developing trend of plate making process and design system of computeraided flat knitting machine at home and abroad, and pointed out the deficiency of this industry at home. Combined with various requirements and production modes of mills, the authors put forward that it was an inevitable trend to improve and upgrade current plate making process and design system of computer-aided flat knitting machine.
