Abstract: The characteristics and functions of the fabric simulation software TexGen are introduced. It applications in fabric mechanics, composite material mechanics, fabric permeability and the heat transfer of composite materials are also described. The glass fiber woven fabric was simulated by Texgen, which further explains the method and advantages of utilizing TexGen to simulate fabric. Finally, the application prospects and the development of TexGen in the future are also forecasted.
