Abstract: The paper discussed the latest technological developments in two kinds of local-made mainstream shuttleless looms – rapier loom and air-jet loom. The author shared his view on the developing trends of weaving technology and products that are suitable for producing on these looms and put forward some suggestions on the development of weaving-related projects in the 12th Five-year Plan of the textile industry.
