Loom monitoring system is an important part of the informatization of cotton textile companies which provides accurate, real-time credible production data and excludes the intervention from human operations. This paper has studied a multitude of key technical problems such as the database design, network architecture as well as data acquisition.Highly-effective loom operation status and throughput management were crystallized by adopting the self-designed data acquisition equipment. Management efficiency could be significantly enhanced by the application of this system.
