Yarn-dyed weaving industry is a traditional advantage industry of the whole cotton textile industry in China, but the economic benefit is not so good as many relative enterprises are weak in balancing new product design and its production technology. The author introduced some new ideas for yarndyed fabric development in this article, in terms of selection of raw materials, yarn structure, fabric texture, the application of fashion color, functional finishing, etc. Some technologies for yarn-dyed fabric production including slashing, weaving and finishing were also studied.
