Research and application of 3D CAD technology in garment industry falls behind comparing with other industry, The reason is that the present technology of 3D Garment CAD has not make best of the advantage of 3D Garment CAD which can model intuitively, accurately. Draping technology also has these advantages.Therefore, draping technology can provide some guidance for 3D Garment CAD to exert its advantages. After discussing some key issues of draping technology, this paper presents three enlightments for 3D Garment CAD.
