Nantong blue calico has a long history and implies a profound cultural heritage in China, which can be improved under the guidance of innovative ideas. In view of some disadvantages in the design of traditional Nantong blue calico, this paper explored creative modern design methods for improving Nantong blue calico in the following aspects, such as pattern, color, materials and diversified fashion design, to make it show the modern look through innovative design practices.
