This paper described the status quo of development and application of ERP and PLM system for apparel enterprises at home and abroad. For optimizing PLM and ERP system and sharing basic data, the author put forward the research methods and technology roadmap of developing new software for setting up "smart manufacturing" platform based on integrating PLM and ERP System with cloud technology.
