The article introduces the current situation of both production and market for PAN-based carbon fibers by underlining the sharply increasing demand for CFRP in the aviation & space and industrial fields. It also gives a brief introduction to the research and development of carbon fibers in China and gives some suggestions on promoting the development of Chinese carbon fiber industry.
