As the living standard of Chinese people has been further improved and idea for sustainable development,people pay more and more attention to developing green process and renewable raw materials for textile application. Cellulose fiber produced by solvent process is just the one meeting the requirements. This article briefly introduced three main solvent systems for cellulose fiber, emphasizing on developments of Lyocell using NMMO as solvent at home and aboard. Industrialization feasibility of various processes was also analyzed, finally, the author made some proposals on developing Lyocell in China.
