The character of some high-performance fibers including carbon fiber, optical fiber, hollow glass fiber were introduced in this article, as well as their application in smart concrete, such as self-detecting of damage, temperature regulation, transportation navigation, internal fissure examination, self-repairing etc. With the application of these new high performance materials, the development of building materials become more active.
