Yarn quality index system is comprised of shape index, index of appearance and inner index.This paper points out that the key to modern yarn quality control is to realize systematic control of yarn quality. A quality control system that integrates the functions of offline inspection, on-line inspection and control as well as information- and network-based management of production should be set up for all-around control of yarn quality.
