Abstract: The yarn spun with hemp fiber and tussah silk noil in certain blending ratio takes advantages of both fibers. While preserving the unique characteristics of hemp fiber, the yarn has improved strength and softness. The article introduces respective characteristics of hemp fiber and tussah silk and discusses the suitable process parameters for spinning high-quality hemp/tussah silk blended yarn.
