Based on comparing the advantages and disadvantages of various processes for twist setting of wool yarn, the article makes a theoretical analysis on the twist setting process using electromagnetic wave. In such process, yarn can be set without prior conditioning, hence it features quick effect, shorter setting time, easy adjustment of process and uniform setting from inside to outside and it has also eliminated the water spot problem often seen in conventional steaming process.
