The development of elastic fiber around the world is discussed in this article, and some primary kinds of elastic fiber are also presented. Taking PU fiber as an example, status-quo of Chinese elastic fiber industry is discussed.Furthermore, the authors put forward some suggestions on the development of PU fiber industry at home.
