As a new spinning technology, air-jet spinning’s advantages have been widely recognized. The performance of air-jet spinning machine, the yarn forming mechanism, the spinning process and the yarn structure and characteristics were gradually well mastered. In this paper,the theoretical research, production practices and product development about air-jet spinning were outlined and the development of MVS spinning was described briefly.
