In the recent executive meetings of the State Council, the position of the textile industry was defined: firstly, the textile industry is an traditional pillar industry in Chinese national economy; secondly, it is an industry concerning the people´s livelihood; thirdly, it holds obvious advantages in the international competitions.The adaptation and revitalization programme of the textile industry introduced recently defined also its responsibility and its mission: China should finish the transformation from a leading textile producer to a leading textile power by 2020.The global financial crisis is still spreading; the main textile industry regions in China face such a crisis, shake it off and step up.
