Abstract: Improvements of pigment adapted to printing and dyeing were discussed by introducing theory,effection and methods of pigment refining process. Principle and technology of surface modification carried out on cellulosic and protein fiber to improve dyeing performance with pigment was analyzed. Solutions for poor fastness, depth and handle of pigment dyeing were expounded, as well as the printing techniques of pigment and reactive dye. Composition, dispersion stability of inkjet printing ink, and ways to enhance printing effects was elaborated. It was pointed out that pigment would account for more important position with the continued development of pigment modification, efficient and environmental friendly adhesive and high stability pigment inks.
