Based on some practice, some experiences of sizing process without PVA were shared in this paper, including following the theory of "similarity and compatibility" when choosing sizing material, controlling the performance of graft starch, simplifying the sizing ingredients, etc. In addition, the author also put forward that improving raw yarn’s quality is the basis of sizing without PVA, and controlling the yarn’s elongation with some online detecting measures is the key to stabilize the sizing performance.
