Abstract: While Chinese-made textile products conquering many international markets, they confront various restrictions as well. The “special safeguard measures” taken by EU and the United States in 2005 led the trend to a climax. The trade disputes are enlarging in scope, and becoming more complicated to negotiate. The disputes employ legal means to directly claim rights or utilize the bug of legal means to destroy opponents’ rights. The reasons causing the disputes are both internal and external, including trade protectionism, the growth mode of China’s textile trade and overcapacity. The countermeasures can be explored from both industry angle and government angle.
