The cause of formation of Hunan apparel industry has been expounded, and characteristic and development actuality of the five major apparel industry clusters have been analyzed in this paper. Finally, the authors has brought forward some suggestions on developing Hunan apparel industry, such as achieving resource sharing, implementing brand strategy, creating apparel culture, so as to make reference for Hunan province to build up the advanced industry status in China.
