The present development state and major issues of industrial genetic technology in China’s textile industry have been explained by investigation in this article. Based on the analysis of R&D and diffusion mechanism of the public technology service platforms in textile industry, it is put forward that China should establish government sponsored institute for textile industry genetic technology.
