This paper analyzed the specific reasons that led to workforce shortage for cotton textile companies and prompt countermeasures against it. Macro-control from the government, working, living technical transformation and benefit conditions improvement efforts from companies are all necessary approaches. In addition, optimized product portfolio, improved management and automation level could also effectively solve this problem.
