According to customs statistics, in January-October of 2019, China's textile and garment exports amounted to about US$ 224.81 billion, seeing a year-on-year decline of 2.55%. Thereinto, the textiles exports reached US$ 99.31 billion, with a slight year-on-year growth of 0.38%; and the exports of garment and accessories was US$ 125.50 billion, down 4.76% year-on-year. The monthly export volume of apparel has been shrinking for three consecutive months.

In CNY-denominated terms, driven by textiles exports, the overall exports of textile and apparel have resumed growth. According to China's General Administration of Customs, China's textile and garment exports reached CNY 161.55 billion in October, up 1.2% year-on-year. Thereinto, textile exports reached CNY 71.73 billion, seeing year-on-year rises of 7.3%. While garment exports were CNY 89.82 billion, down 3.2% year-on-year. In January-October period, China's textile and garment exports totaled CNY 1.54 trillion, up 2.4% year-on-year. Among them, textile exports reached CNY 681.07 billion, up 5.5% year-on-year. And the garment exports were CNY 862.41 billion, unchanged from that of 2018.

In US$-denominated terms, China's textile and garment exports reached US$ 22.87 billion in October, down 1.1% year-on-year. Thereinto, textile exports reached US$ 10.16 billion, seeing year-on-year rises of 4.6%. While garment exports were US$ 12.71 billion, down 5.3% year-on-year. In January-October period, China's textile and garment exports totaled US$ 224.81 billion, down 2.6% year-on-year. Among them, textile exports reached US$ 99.31 billion, down 0.1% year-on-year. And the garment exports were US$ 125.5 billion, decreased by 4.7% year-on-year.
