According to statistics, in August 2019, China imported 150,000 tons of cotton yarn, down 27.6% year-on-year, unchanged from the previous month. Meanwhile China exported 28,200 tons of cotton yarn, with year-on-year decline of 12.93% and month-on-month growth of 0.13%.

In the first eight months of 2019, China accumulative total import of cotton yarn reached 1.33 million tons, down 7% over the same period last year, while the export of cotton yarn totaled 267,700 tons, declined by 6% year-on-year.
