According to the customs statistics, in August 2019, China imported 90,000 tons of cotton, down 43.7% year-on-year. In the first eight months of 2019, China accumulative total import of cotton reached 1.43 million tons, up 45.4% over the same period last year.

From September, 2018 to August, 2019, China's cotton imports totaled 2.03 million tons, up 53% year-on-year.
