China’s Cotton Yarn Imports down 25% in July

According to the customs statistics, in July 2019, China imported 150,000 tons of cotton yarn, down 25% year-on-year, seeing a decline of 6.25% from the previous month. Meanwhile China exported 28,200 tons of cotton yarn, with year-on-year decline of 17.3% and month-on-month decrease of 25.38%.


In the first seven months of 2019, China accumulative total import of cotton yarn reached 1.18 million tons, down 3.6% over the same period last year, while the export of cotton yarn totaled 239,500 tons, down 5.1% year-on-year.
