Locating in the western edge of the Sichuan Basin, Lushan County owns 19 textile companies, 17 of which are above-designated size, covering wrapped yarn, cotton spinning, weaving, garment, etc. These industrial categories have initially formed a relatively complete industrial chain. In 2018, the textile industry realized an output of CNY 2.8 billion, seeing year-on-year growth of 26.13%, which accounted for 42.87% of the total output value of industrial enterprises in the county. In the next three years, Lushan County will focus on consolidating and strengthening the leading position of the textile industry, creating a billions-level industry and realizing the development goal of newly introducing 1 million spindles, 2000 looms and 100,000 tons capacity of chemical fiber.
In the past ten years, the textile industry in Lushan County has grown from nothing, optimized service guarantees, strengthened investment promotion, and promote the textile industry to become the most important pillar industry of the county's industrial economy.
In January 2019, Lushan Economic Development Zone successfully declared a provincial economic development zone. The Lushan Economic Development Zone followed the general idea of sustainability, high-end industrial development and moderately advanced development, so as to develop the modern textile industry, achieve scientific planning, and attract excellent talents.
