According to the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to May, the profit of China's industrial enterprises above designated size totaled CNY 2.37 trillion, seeing a year-on-year decline of 2.3%, the decline was 1.1 percentage points lower than the first four months of 2019. The profit of manufacturing industry totaled CNY 1.95 trillion, down 4.1% year-on-year.

From January to May, the profit of textile enterprises above designated size reached CNY 39.11 billion, increased by 3.2% compared with the same period the previous year. While the profit of enterprises above designated size in garment and accessories industry reached CNY 30.79 billion, down 1.3% year-on-year.

From January to May, the profit of leather, fur, feather and their products and footwear industry reached CNY 25.25 billion, surged by 7.0% year-on-year; and the profit of enterprises above designated size in chemical fiber manufacturing industry was CNY 10.72 billion, declined by 16.6% year-on-year.
