Recently, the press conference of the World Textile Merchandising Conference 2019 held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. The World Textile Merchandising Conference 2019 is scheduled to be held from 27^th to 28^th of September, 2019 in Keqiao, Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province of China. The theme of the conference is open collaboration, technology driven, fashion transformation.

At present, the development of the world economy presents high complexity. The deeply interwoven industrial chain, value chain and innovation chain make cross-domain and cross-regional cooperation become normal. The iteration of technology has accelerated the evolution of the textile industry, the replacement of old growth drivers with new ones has speeded up, and the core competence of different countries, different regions and different enterprises has updated rapidly. World Textile Merchandising Conference 2019 is jointly sponsored and hosted by China National Textile and Apparel Council, China General Chamber of Commerce, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textile and Apparel, Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, and People’s Government of Shaoxing Municipal, and co-organized by China Textile Information Center, China General Chamber of Commerce Foreign Liaison Committee, Apparel Branch & Fabric Branch of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textile and Apparel, China Textile International Exchange Center, China Textile Engineering Society, China Dyeing and Printing Association, and People’s Government of Keqiao District, Shaoxing.

Qian Yongjun, standing member of CPC Committee of Keqiao District, Shaoxing City, introduced three highlights of the Second World Textile Merchandising Conference in detail. Firstly, the conference has more distinct themes. The conference will implement in full the guiding principles embodied in General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech at the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, uphold the principle of "mutual consultancy, joint construction and shared benefits" to demonstrate the responsibility of Keqiao, Shaoxing, an important world textile industrial cluster, to find the optimal development path for the world textile economic growth, and to seek win-win cooperation and responsible development. Secondly, the conference under the theme of "open collaboration, technology driven, fashion transformation" will have richer content. Its agenda includes theme conference, Global Fashion Industry Development Forum, the 3rd Global Textile Digital Printing Summit, the 15th Asian Textile Conference · Theme Conference, Belt and Road Forum for Asian Textile Cooperation, and International Collaborative Innovation Management Forum for Textile and Garment Industry. And it will also arrange visitors to visit Keqiao City, industrial development zone and 2019 Keqiao Textile Expo (autumn). Thirdly, the participants are more diverse. At present, the organizing committee of the conference has sent invitations to the industry associations, universities and famous enterprises in the United States, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Japan, Korea, Singapore, India and Vietnam, and has sent fixed invitations to experts and scholars of industry associations and universities, such as Society of Fiber Science and Technology, Japan, Korea Federation of Textile Industries, The Fiber Society, The Textile Institute, Stanford University, North Carolina State University, RWTH Aachen University, University of Leeds, and University of Manchester, etc. In addition, it was also promoted and sent an invitation at the "Global Textile and Apparel Supply Chain Conference" held in Vietnam.
