Recently, Hubei Province Fiber Inspection Bureau and local government of Gucheng County, Hubei Province, signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the quality improvement demonstration zone of textile and apparel products (hereinafter referred to as "demonstration zone"), which marked the first demonstration zone will be settled in Hubei Province in the near future.

Mei Zhijun, director of the Administration of Quality and Technology Supervision of Gucheng County, said that there are 112 textile enterprises in Gucheng County with annual output of more than CNY 5 billion. However, the product structure is single, the famous brands are few, and the added value of products is low. In order to break through the bottlenecks of the industrial development, improve the overall quality of textiles, and enhance core competitiveness, Gucheng County hopes to promote the development of demonstration zone and advance the quality and efficiency of the Gucheng County's textile industry through the cooperation with Hubei Province Fiber Inspection Bureau.

By signing a strategic cooperation agreement, the Hubei Province Fiber Inspection Bureau will provide services for Gucheng County's textile and garment enterprises into five aspects: providing free inspection and detection for local textile enterprises; improving enterprises' competitiveness through various standards leading; helping enterprises to promote brand creation; inviting experts from university to provide consultation for enterprises' production; and providing free training for enterprises in order to raising their awareness of quality management.

In the future, the demonstration zone will pay close attention to the innovation development and quality improvement of textile products. Strive to build Gucheng County into a high-end fabric and garment production base by strengthening technological innovation and cultivating own brands vigorously.
