According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in June, the total retail sales of social consumer goods reached CNY 3.08 trillion, seeing a year-on-year growth of 9.0%. Thereinto, the retail sales of consumer goods of major retailers above the designated size totaled CNY 1.24 trillion, up 6.5% year-on-year. And in the first half year of 2018, the total retail sales of social consumer goods was CNY 18 trillion, growing by 9.4% year-on-year. Among them, the retail sales of consumer goods of major retailers above the designated size reached CNY 6.99 trillion, increased by 7.5% compared with the same period the previous year.

By consumption types, in June, the retail sales of commodity reached CNY 2.74 trillion, with year-on-year growth of 8.9%, of which the retail sales of clothing, foot & head wear and knitted goods amounted to CNY 110 billion, growing by 10.0% year-on-year. And in the first half year of 2018, the retail sales of commodity totaled CNY 16.05 trillion, with year-on-year growth of 9.3%, of which the retail sales of clothing, foot & head wear and knitted goods amounted to CNY 665.1 billion, improving by 9.2% year-on-year.
