According to statistics, in December 2017, China imported 188,200 tons of cotton yarn, down 6.7% year-on-year, seeing a decline of 2.94% from the previous month. Meanwhile China exported 35,000 tons of cotton yarn, with year-on-year growth of 12.5% and month-on-month growth of 3.4%.

In 2017, China accumulative total import of cotton yarn reached 1.98 million tons, up 0.57% over the same period last year, while the export of cotton yarn totaled 390,400 tons, up 10.6% year-on-year.
