ITMA Asia + CITME 2018 will be held on October 26-30, 2018 at the National Conference and Exhibition Center (Shanghai). Gu Ping, vice president of China Textile Machinery & Accessories Association(CTMA)introduced the progress and new changes of the exhibition recently.
Gu mentioned the operation situation of current textile machinery industry. From January to August in 2017, the main business income of textile machinery industry reached CNY 83.52 billion, seeing year-on-year rises of 12.46%. The profit of the industry totaled CNY 5.91 billion, with year-on-year growth of 21.91%. Besides that, according to customs statistics, the import and export of China's textile machinery totaled US$ 4.36 billion in the first eight months in 2017, growing by 18.52% year-on-year. Among them, the imports were US$ 2.25 billion, up 32.61% year-on-year; while the exports were US$ 2.11 billion, increased by 6.48% year-on-year.
Based on the analysis of the industry's situation, Gu Ping believes that the textile machinery industry in 2018 will keep steady growth, which will help ITMA Asia + CITME 2018 to reach a new level.
In recent years, the trend of intelligent manufacturing has swept the entire manufacturing industry, so the textile industry is also seeking intelligent transformation and upgrading.
For example, some enterprises have achieved remarkable achievements in the field of intelligent construction. In the past three years, 12 projects in the textile industry have enrolled in the MIIT's list of pilot projects for intelligent manufacturing. And in the past two years, 6 projects have enrolled in the list of integrated standardization projects for intelligent manufacturing, and 10 projects have enrolled in the list of new model application projects.
However, he also pointed out that at present, the intelligent production of the whole spinning process is still at modular and initial stage. Thus, in the future, it is necessary to integrate generic technologies for intelligence with textile professional technologies, ultimately achieving the integration and coordination along the supply chain. At present, CTMA is developing unified standards and interface protocols in order to facilitate the connection between different equipment and systems.
Gu Ping said that ITMA Asia + CITME 2018 will provide an excellent platform for intelligent manufacturing in the textile industry, presenting new products, new technologies and new trends, of which complete sets of intelligent equipment will be the biggest surprise on this exhibition.
