China Enterprise Confederation/China Enterprise Directors Association published its annual list of top 500 Chinese companies on Sept. 10.

The top 500 Chinese companies reported combined revenue of CNY 64 trillion (US$ 9.84 trillion) in 2016, which was 7.64% higher than that in 2015, setting a new record after a two-year decline.

About half of the top firms on the list are manufacturers, with a combined net profit of CNY 549 billion. Manufacturers saw their share of profit among the top 500 firms rise up to 19.4%, representing the most significant growth since 2011.

There are 21 textile and garment companies in the list (see the list below), among which, Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group Co., Ltd. ranked the 36th, with a revenue of CNY 373.18 billion, and most of the garment companies in the list are men's wear producers.
