The combined show - ITMA Asia + CITME has become an important window for textile machinery manufacturers to showcase new products, new technology, new concepts and new process. Over the past decade, the biannual event has offered a perfect platform for the communications between textile producers and textile machinery manufacturers. The increasing number of exhibitors and the expansion of exhibition space have proven that the exhibition is well accepted and trusted by global textile machinery manufacturers, and the number of professional visitors also reflects the position and value of the event in the world.

According to the organizers, ITMA Asia + CITME 2016 attracted more than 100,000 visitors from 102 countries and regions, including 20% from abroad. The number of visitors from mainland China ranks the first, followed by India, Japan, the ROK, Taiwan, Indonesia and Bangladesh.

The exhibition was for the first time moved to the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) in 2016. In 2016, 1,673 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions presented their new products and technologies in six halls of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Exhibitors from mainland China covered 69.4% of the total exhibition space, followed by Germany (cover 6.5% of the exhibition space), Japan (4.7%) and Switzerland (3.2%). Compared with the previous session, the number of exhibitors increased by 7% and the exhibition space increased by 12% to over 170,000 square meters, being the largest session since its debut.

ITMA Asia + CITME 2018 will be once again held in the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on October 26-30, 2018. Online application (www.citme.com.cn) opens from June 19, 2017 to February 28, 2018.
