China's Exports of Textiles and Garment down 29.9% in Feb.

Latest figures of the General Administration of Customs show that in February 2017, China's exports of textiles and garment amounted to near US$ 10.98 billion, down 54.08% month-on-month and 29.90% year-on-year. The export of textiles (including textile yarn, fabric and made-up goods) dropped by 24.60% year-on-year to about US$ 4.59 billion, that of garment (including clothes and accessories) declined 33.26% to US$ 6.39 billion.


In the first two months of 2017, China's exports of textiles and garment totaled US$ 34.88 billion, down 9.12% from a year earlier. The export of textiles totaled US$ 14.17 billion, down 6.97%, while that of garment totaled US$ 20.71 billion, down 10.53%.
