LABEL PRODUCTION SYSTEMS
MüGRIP® MBJ6 label weaving machine
The MüGRIP® MBJ6 represents the newest generation of the MüGRIP® machine series and had its market launch during the ITMA 2011. MüGRIP® rapier looms are exclusively developed and manufactured for label weaving and are the world’s most frequently used machine in this field.
As opposed to previous MüGRIP models, the MBJ6 is equipped with an additional, sixth repeat, which increases the rated working width of the machine to 1,200mm. A spatial crank gearing provides the rapier drive of the MBJ6 and its speed is transferred gently to the weft yarn to be inserted. As a consequence, the speed of the five-repeat machine is retained, but output is 20 per cent higher.
Shedding takes place via an SPE jacquard machine with 1,536 hooks and the machine has 1,152 jacquard functions. The MBJ6 is available in 4, 6, 8 and 12 weft colour versions. The universal rapier developed especially for this machine generation permits the successful use of an even greater range of yarn qualities beginning with 22 dtex. Furthermore, the new cutting elements stand for uniform label selvedge quality across the entire weaving section
The new machine also employs an innovative, energy-optimised drive concept, which cuts power losses to a minimum and provides an improvement in the label weaving energy balance.
Last, but not least, in spite of the additional sixth repeat, both the room height required for the MBJ6 and its ecological footprint, correspond with those of the predecessor model.

MüCAD workstation
The MüCAD CAD system with additional MüCAN Server software and MüCAD Direct Transfer
The optional MüCAN Server and MüCAD Direct Transfer functions can be used to link Jakob Müller weaving machines with in-company networks. As a result, designs can be either transmitted or called up directly via LAN. In addition, thanks to these applications, designs can be effectively safeguarded against theft.
The designs are stored on company servers by means of the MüCAN Server. Looms are connected to the server via LAN and thereby have access to the predefined files. The looms can thus call up the respective design that is needed for the customer order directly from the server.
The MüCAD Direct Transfer function links the looms with the computer via LAN. Customer enquiries can therefore be transferred directly to the looms from the computer. The order data is also transmitted simultaneously along with the design.

WARP CROCHET KNITTING SYSTEMS
COMEZ 609/B3 High speed crochet knitting machine for the specialised production of a wide range of elastic and non-elastic bands
Thanks to the reliability, efficiency and high output of this machine the band manufacturer obtains a high-quality finished product, in quantities which are absolutely competitive in relation to other types of machines currently on the market.
The machine is equipped with 2 weft bars and the heddle bar for elastic threads, controlled by the three lever weft device. The 2 weft bars are driven by the 2 lateral levers of the weft device for movements of up to 50 mm, while the heddle bar for elastic threads is driven by the central lever of the weft device.
A 4th bar (device on request D4B/600) allows to obtain simple patterns on the band, with maximum repeat of 12 links: it is controlled by chain links with involute profile that make it possible to work at high speed. This device must be requested when ordering the machine, since its assembly must be carried out at the COMEZ plant.
In place of the heddle bar for elastic threads, the grooved elastic thread guiding bar BGE/600 (on request) can be used, being interchangeable.
By means of the SET150/600 and SET/2-290 devices (on request), weft movements of up to 150 or 290 mm can be obtained.
On request, the machine can be fitted with a colour touch screen controller (DCF-C-M/C) which allows to: - vary the machine speed - visualize the machine speed in RPM - set the sensitivity (time of permanence of the drop wires on the stop-stems) of weft and warp stop motions separately - plan a production (pick counter or production unit [m, kg, etc.]) - visualize the production for shift - visualize automatically the reason of the machine stoppages - visualize the machine time of running and stopping in hh:mm (hour counter). The DCF-C-M/C device requires the machine to be equipped with a special electrical panel, in place of the standard one: for this reason, the device must be requested when ordering the machine, since its assembly must be carried out at the COMEZ plant.
