BIELLA YARN announces expanded collection for Fall Winter 2017/2018

Suedwolle Group – Safillaunches for the Fall/Winter season 2017/2018 its first combined collection of flat knitting yarns under the brand Biella Yarn, a premium supplier of worsted knitwear yarns for progressive fashion. After merging the Biella Yarn flat knitting collections with the recently acquired Safil collection they can offer an expanded range of fashion yarns under one roof.

The collection includes around 100 articles designed for the flat-knitting category and is divided into three lines; Exclusive, Essential and Dynamic.

The Exclusive line stands out with its high-end yarns made from pure worsted Cashmere, Cashmere/Silk blends and Superfine Merino Wool (15.5 micron – 17.5 micron). Biella Yarn offers stock service in a wide range of colours for Nm 2/60 Brisbane, 100% Merino Wool Superfine, 17.5 micron.

The Essential line contains yarns spun from Extra Fine and Fine Merino Wool and wool blends with Cashmere, Silk and Cotton. Included in this line are also performance yarns with Coolmax^® All Season Technology or Thermolite^® All Season Technology. Full stock service is available for around 240 Solid and Melange colours in NM 2/30 and 2/48 Victoria, 100% Merino Wool Extra Fine.

The Dynamic line includes blends with Acrylic and Nylon. In this range we offer stock service for selected colours in solid and melange in the quality 50% Wool/ 50% Acrylic.

SPINACTIVE takes Biomimicry as its core inspiration. That is, the form and function of our garments being influenced by and learned from biological species and their processes.

The process begins by assessing the relative importance of the 5 primary senses (sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch) for each sport discipline. We then define how different textiles can enhance an athlete’s sensations and ultimately their performance. Research is then completed to mimic how nature has evolved to respond to similar demands on performance.

The result is an activewear collection that goes beyond simply aesthetics. Garment construction is driven by function; taking inspiration from shapes, forms and structure in nature to respond innovatively to the needs of the athlete.
