China's exports of textiles and apparel dropped 16.33% year-on-year to near US$ 19.88 billion in this April, but up 58.19% month-on-month, said the General Administration of Customs.
The export of textile yarn, fabric and made-up goods amounted to about US$ 9.42 billion, down 10.76% year-on-year, but up 60.33% month-on-month; the export of apparel and accessories amounted to about US$ 10.46 billion, down 20.78% from a year earlier, but up 56.32% from the previous year.
In January-April period of this year, China's exports of textiles and apparel totaled near US$ 79.66 billion, down 2.72% or US$ 2.227 billion from a year ago.
