Updated: 1/22/2015 6:06:58 PM

The Spring/Summer 2015 session of SPINEXPOTM will feature a new installation that explores the world of color in greater depth; Each session of SPINEXPOTM will look at the different meanings that a specific color has in different cultures, as well as the ways that the color can be interpreted into fashion and lifestyle.

“There is much more to color than simply a reference on a color card” said the SPINEXPO organizers, discussing this newest addition to the fair.

The launch installation will focus on what Green means as a color and the way in which the green palette is interpreted in different cultures, regions and nations.  SPINEXPOTM will explore its newest connotation in eco-friendly clothing and textile innovations.

Yarns&Colors

Hualian By HUBO

The natural greens, from forest to lime, are seen as tranquil and refreshing, with a naturakl balance of cool and warm (blue and yellow) undertones.  Green is considered the colour of peace and ecology and is associated with growth, regeneration, fertility and nature; but it can also be the colour associated with envy and jealousy. “This coming season sees a particular green as a major key colour: the colour of absinthe, illustrated by Jade Cream in our colour palette” said SPINEXPO.

Liz Donnelly

The installation will feature a clean and tranquil environment built around transparent dividers and bleach wood features on which woven/embroidered fabrics will be hung.  The visual presentation will be enhanced with depth information about what Green as a color means in various civilizations and countries.

The presentation will be divided into two major directions: Styled garments by stylists from exhibiting companies such as GITG Hubo, Consinee/Top Line, and UPW who were given complete creative freedom to express their creativity and personalised style statements. In addition, there will be a direction dedicated to science and innovation in textiles, new experimentations from key exhibitors, stylists and machinery manufacturers, in particular Santoni and Yarns & Colors.
