In 2015, China will make breakthrough from intelligent manufacturing, carry out special operations on setting up pilot and demonstration industries and enterprises of intelligent manufacturing and promote intelligent manufacturing production mode, Miao Wei, minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) said at the recently held national conference on industry and information technology. Textile industry is included in the list of industries to set up pilot plants.
Miao Wei points out that the government will promote pilot application of intelligent manufacturing strategy among iron & steel, petrochemical, textile, light and electronic information industries, organize these pilot plants to realize computerization of key steps in the manufacturing process and replace operators with robots at important posts. Meanwhile, it will promote the development of smart products such as wearable equipment and service robots, set up pilot and demonstration intelligent manufacturing cities (regions) and popularize successful experiences and modes.
Industry analysts said this move means the textile industry will speed up the step of implementing Industry 4.0 strategy.
As a big textile producer in the world, China is accelerating the step of transformation and upgrading. Some leading textile enterprises are constantly improving their intelligent manufacturing level. For instance, Shandong-based Huafang Co., Ltd. is building a “smart plant”, which integrates smart machines, storing system and production facilities into the virtual network – Cyber Physical System via Internet of Things and service network; another Shandong-based company, Luthai Textile Group is setting up online customization system based on virtual fitting and big data technologies; Hongdou Group recently has become a virtual network operator and by taking this chance, the company is developing mobile network and intelligent mobile terminal; Tong Jisheng, president of Shangtex Holding Group Co., Ltd said at an interview that his group will further improve computerization of textile and apparel technology and positively develop intelligent production technologies.
