Ningbo City in Zhejiang Province has over-fulfilled the targets set both by the state and provincial government for eliminating outdated production capacities.

By the end of September, 465 enterprises had fulfilled their tasks; 232 enterprises were closed down; 295,000 tons of chemical fiber production capacity and 190 million meters of printing & dyeing capacity were eliminated.

In 2014, Ningbo focuses on renovating 11 key areas. Up to now, 39 enterprises in Hongzhou Bay Printing & Dyeing Industrial Park have been reorganized into two enterprises which will be reconstructed in other locations.
