2014 China Textile Academic Conference will be held in Shanghai on October 21-23, 2014.

China Textile Academic Conference was launched by China Textile Engineering Society in 2011. It is a high-end annual conference for exhibiting the latest scientific and technological achievements and talents.

In order to guide the textile industry onto the track of innovation-driven development and promote sustainable development of the industry, the upcoming conference, which is organized by China Textile Engineering Society and supported by China Textile Information Center under the guidance of China National Textile and Apparel Council, is designed to accumulate innovation resources, strengthen collaborative innovation and forge a platform for cross-discipline academic exchange and for transformation of scientific research achievements under the theme of "cross-discipline integration, smart textile".

Mr. Sun Ruizhe, vice president of China National Textile and Apparel Council and also director of China Textile Engineering Society will chair the Organizing Committee of the conference, while Mr. Yao Mu, academician of China Academy of Engineering will chair the Academic Board.

2014 China Textile Academic Conference will inherit the essence of the past sessions. Under the theme of "cross-discipline integration, smart textile", it will widely discuss hi-tech fiber materials, advanced textile process and product development technology, high-performance technical textiles, technologies for energy-saving and discharge-reduction as well as reutilization of resources, smart textiles, etc. It will also offer a trading platform for the transformation of scientific research achievements resulted from the cooperation among textile producers, universities and research institutes. Well-known experts and scholars from home and abroad will be invited to give presentations on the conference and an awarding ceremony will be held for "China Textile Academic Achievement Award" and "China Textile Academic and Technological Leadership Award".
