For the first time in China, Mathis AG introduced SMARTSCAN, an objective, simple and inexpensive method of assessing the colour fastness of samples with the help of a scanner. SMARTSCAN overcomes the traditional problem that quality control assessments are subjective and therefore not reproducible. It requires very little operator training and is suitable for retailers as well as manufacturers.
Updated SmartLiquor® dyebath monitoring system type SL-AZ
Mathis AG also presented an updated version of its well-established SmartLiquor® dyebath monitoring system at the show. SmartLiquor® is to coloration professionals what an X-ray machine is to a doctor: It provides a detailed process picture permitting the user to identify the source of problems and to derive solutions.
SmartLiquor® improvements include a re-designed integrated cell for on-line measurement of pH and conductivity and a new version for continuous and semi-continuous (Cold Pad Batch, E-Control) dyers. The latter promises to eliminate the long-standing problem of tailing (end-to-end variations in fabric colour) in semi-continuous dyeing and can also be used for the quality control of stock tank solutions (“check-liquor”).
