The 89th Textile Institute World Conference will be held in Wuhan Textile University in November 2014. This will be for the second time this conference is held in China following it was held in Shanghai 10 years ago.

The Textile Institute World Conference is a platform that gathers researchers, academics and the industries related to the areas of textiles, clothing and footwear. The conference is organized approximately every one and a half years by The Textile Institute, in various locations around the world.

According to Mr. Peter Dinsdale, president of The Textile Institute, selecting Wuhan Textile University as the location for the 89th Textile Institute World Conference is because Wuhan Textile University takes the leads in research of textile materials and the theme “Innovation of Cutting-edge Textile Materials” is close to the goal of The Textile Institute.

The 89th Textile Institute World Conference will focus on innovation and development of textile materials. More than 300 experts and scholars and enterprise representatives from the world textile circle will gather together to discuss the innovation and development in textile field.
