Samsung to Build Textile Industrial Park in Chongqing (11/05/2012)

It is reported from Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Commission that Samsung Group, in cooperation with Shandong Ruyi Group, will invest US$ 21.5 million to build the Western Textile Industrial Park in Wanzhou, Chongqing municipality in Southwest China.

The Western Textile Industrial Park will include the project for 250,000-spindle compact spinning, the project for 50 million meters of fabric and the project for 10 million sets of garment. After these projects being put into operation, the textile industrial park will become the largest vertically-integrated textile production base in western part of China. The first-phase project will cost an investment of US$ 5 billion, while Samsung will cover 26% of the investment.
