It is reported from the Administration Office of Textile Industry in Hunan Province that in the first half of this year, 439 above-scale textile enterprises in Hunan Province produced an industrial output of CNY 34.62 billion, up 7.3% year-on-year, and sales revenue of CNY 33.63 billion, up 6.5%. The industrial value added rose 14.2%.

In January-June period of this year, above-scale enterprises produced 488,500 tons of yarn, up 19.8% year-on-year; 179 million meters of fabric, down 1.3%; 92.55 million pieces of garment, up 1.6%; and 15,700 tons of chemical fibers, down 2%.

In the same period, the local textile industry invested CNY 8.69 billion in fixed assets, up 53.6%. There were 281 projects under construction, up 0.4%; there were 198 newly-commenced projects, down 6.6% and 69 completed projects, up 27.8%.
